To launch the standard CentOS 6 firewall configuration tool, open the desktop System menu and click on Administration followed by Firewall. Alternatively, the tool can be launched from the command-line as follows:
system-config-firewall
Enter the root password if prompted to do so.

After changes are made, file /etc/sysconfig/iptables will be modified.
